Designated as a U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) LEED Silver building in 2012, Sage Plaza’s operation and maintenance certification was set to expire. While KCI had overseen the building’s initial certification, the property manager had since established their own in-house team of professionals to perform these services. However, because of our team’s strong relationship with the client, KCI was asked to submit a proposal.
Working under a tight deadline, our team employed a partnering approach between KCI and the building’s in-house staff to collect data and prepare the quality credit documentation on time and on budget.
Christopher Clements, PE, LEED AP BD+CRegional Practice Leader
KCI completed the engineering analysis, credit data collection and LEED online reporting. As part of the work, engineers prepared a recertification report that
provided CB Richard Ellis with a timeline, credit recap, reviewer’s rational for denied credits, issues to address before the next certification, insight into the future LEED version, and timing for the next recertification project. Throughout the duration of this contract, our team continually met with the client’s team to perform the work required and to answer their questions.
