The Georgia Society of Professional Engineers has recognized Holly Painter, PE, as the 2020 Young Engineer of the Year. The organization celebrates individuals across the state that exemplify leadership, integrity and technical expertise in a diverse group of markets throughout the engineering industry. She joins eight other professionals that were honored in various categories.
Holly has 15 years of experience working as a transportation design engineer and has expertise in roadway and bridge design, preparation of roadway and bridge plans, erosion control plans, and construction cost estimates. She has conducted inner-departmental reviews with signals, ITS tolling devices, signing and marking, sound barrier design/review/construction, environmental coordination, MS4 and ecology coordination. Holly has been the project manager for bridge replacement projects and served as lead transportation engineer for multiple design-build projects and transportation initiatives for GDOT and other local municipalities, counties, and cities in Georgia, including the city of Johns Creek, Cobb County, Newton County, and Paulding County, as well as the US Army Corps of Engineers. She led the charge to open a KCI office location in Atlanta and has also been recognized for her community involvement in the industry.
