KCI welcomes Donald C. Harris, PE, as Business Development Manager in the Transportation Market. In this role, he will help the firm continue to expand our Southeast transportation design practice by focusing on developing business in new markets and supporting project delivery throughout the region.
Harris brings to KCI nearly four decades of experience in roadway and infrastructure improvements, new alignment, streetscapes, pedestrian and bike trails, bridge design, quality control, and client relations. He has worked in both the public and private sectors, including over a decade with the Federal Highway Administration. His work has been honored with accolades such as the Georgia Department of Transportation/AID Award of Excellence, American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Georgia Grand and Honor Awards for Engineering Excellence, and the ACEC South Carolina Engineering Excellence Award.
Don has managed Atlanta-area offices for three major engineering firms and is well-known and respected throughout the Southeast. He has established relationships with the majority of our current clients and will play a key leadership role in our expansion in the Southeast transportation market.

Harris earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and the University of Virginia, respectively. He is a registered professional engineer in six states and currently serves as the chair for Central Atlanta Progress’ Transportation and Sustainability Council and has previously served on the boards of directors for ACEC Georgia, Central Atlanta Progress and the Perimeter Transportation and Sustainability Coalition.
