KCI’s ability to adapt led our team to provide site/civil engineering and support services for a 160-unit multi-family residential development, which included a community center and plaza on a 17-acre site.
A residential developer approached KCI with a site layout for five 27-unit multi-family buildings and requested the addition of a sixth building within 24 hours. The team added the sixth building, balanced the current earthwork, and secured the project.
Midway through construction, after much of the infrastructure was already built, the original builder backed out. The developer onboarded a new builder who faced significant challenges with the previous layouts. KCI reworked the site a second time with minimal changes to constructed features. Ultimately, ten 16-unit buildings were constructed on site.
Our team’s creative solutions prevented a year or more of schedule delays and avoided significant construction rework costs for the developer. After delivering a successful result despite numerous challenges, KCI continued designing additional projects for the developer.
