To celebrate the holiday season, Dior transformed its 5th Avenue storefront into a festive, animated gingerbread-inspired display.
Decorative lighting and moving elements were designed to capture the attention of pedestrians while maintaining the elegance and craftsmanship associated with the brand. KCI’s entertainment engineering team supported the creation of the display by providing structural engineering services for the decorative polycarbonate elements. These components were supported by a steel and aluminum grid system, which the team engineered to meet New York City Building Code requirements. Engineers worked closely with the project partners to review design intent, material selections, and fabrication methods to ensure full code compliance, structural reliability, and creative visual intent.
Following installation, KCI conducted on-site inspections to verify the quality, safety, and stability of the completed structure. Through careful coordination and technical oversight, the team helped deliver a visually striking holiday installation that safely brings seasonal magic to one of the world’s most iconic retail corridors.
