Lijie Li, PhD, PE, was honored by the Southeast Pennsylvania Section of the American Water Works Association (AWWA) and the Eastern Section of the Pennsylvania Water Works Operators’ Association (WWOAP) with an Award of Recognition.
This award is presented to a member of either AWWA or WWOAP who has contributed to the production of the organizations’ semi-annual joint technical conferences, which are entirely volunteer-led events. Award recipients are nominated and selected for their dedication, leadership, and impact on the water community through their willingness to go above and beyond. Dr. Li contributes to SE PA-AWWA and ES WWOAP as a member of the conference planning committee, ensuring the events are as informative and enjoyable as possible without complications.
In her current role as project manager for KCI’s water/wastewater group, Dr. Li is dedicated to ensuring safe and efficient water systems. For nearly 20 years, she has helped guide numerous clients toward informed decisions and improved water quality with her expansive understanding of complex water/wastewater processes and project types.
Dr. Li holds a bachelor’s degree in food engineering from Chengdu University of Science & Technology, a master’s degree in fermentation engineering from Wuxi University of Light Industry, and a doctorate degree in environmental engineering from Drexel University, and is a licensed professional engineer in Delaware, Maryland, and Pennsylvania.
