During their Toast to Tocqueville event last month, United Way of Central Maryland recognized KCI as the 2022 Tocqueville Organization of the Year, an award that honors a partner whose contributions have showcased an outstanding commitment to their community.
The celebration is held annually to honor the philanthropy and volunteerism of dedicated community members and organizations throughout the region. Joined at the event by Dierdre Crowl, CAP, OM, and Dana Knight, PE, Deborah Boyd accepted the award on behalf of the firm.
KCI has long partnered with United Way of Central Maryland to support and give back to our communities through strong volunteer engagement and philanthropic goals. Despite the challenges of the pandemic over the last few years, the firm’s innovative and energetic campaigns have continued to raise significant contributions for the organization, and this past year, KCI’s team raised more than $165,000 in support of 124 non-profits and initiatives including the Neighborhood Zone in Poppleton, The Way Home project and United Way’s 100th Anniversary campaign. Throughout the company, our employees embrace using their time and talents to help improve the lives of others through community service, outreach, and donation drives aimed at improving the livelihoods of those in our local footprint.
Our participation is a testament to the dedicated leadership of our executives and volunteers who have served as community mentors to create a positive social change for years to come.
