To enable the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission’s (PTC) transition to a fully cashless All-Electronic Tolling (AET) system along its 550-mile statewide roadway, it was necessary to expand their main billing office location.
KCI was enlisted to perform construction management and inspection for the rehabilitation while overseeing the installation of new power, HVAC, fire protection and plumbing systems, as well as finishes and furniture to accommodate approximately 600 Turnpike employees.
Despite an accelerated timetable, the use of strategic planning, early outage scheduling and meticulous safety measures ensured substantial completion ahead of schedule. With an updated facility in place, PTC employees can fully support the AET system and offer a seamless experience for drivers on the Turnpike.
