Recognizing the need to address maintenance, replacement and traffic mitigation for five bridges spanning the Susquehanna River, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation contracted KCI to develop a comprehensive master plan.
Our team conducted an analysis of key factors such as transportation needs, traffic patterns and structural conditions, created a deterioration model based on the bridges’ historic and existing conditions, established a future maintenance schedule and developed a report of their findings for public dissemination.
Through collaboration with various stakeholders, KCI produced the resulting master plan under budget and ahead of schedule, promoting seamless commuting, lifestyles and commerce in the Harrisburg area for decades to come.
