KCI provided subsurface utility engineering and utility coordination and design services for the US 181 Harbor Bridge project.
This project replaced the current bridge on a new alignment to improve safety, connectivity, and level of service to the roadway and provided greater access to the Harbor by larger shipping and Naval vessels. Our team performed approximately 200,000 feet of Level B Designations and 170 Level A test holes for the project. There are approximately 88,400 LF of water, 65,500 LF of wastewater, 43,000 LF of gas, 75,500 LF of electric, 108,300 LF of telecom, 13,700 LF of cable, and 28,000 LF of fiber optic infrastructure that required verification, conflict evaluation, and relocation design services. KCI provided design services for several thousand feet of City-owned natural gas distribution system as well as design and construction verification services for the team.
