As the new United Way lead at KCI Technologies, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to give back to the community in a meaningful way.
United Way is a longstanding organization that has supported communities for over 130 years, fighting for the health, education, and financial stability of every person in every community. This mission aligns with my personal values, and I am committed to making a positive impact in the community.
My commitment to giving back started when I was in elementary school. I volunteered at a local children’s hospital and instantly realized the impact an act of kindness could make. Since then, I have been involved in various community service projects and have always felt a sense of fulfillment knowing that I am making a difference in someone’s life. I want to inspire my colleagues to get involved in giving back to the community, physically and/or monetarily.
Throughout our ongoing support of United Way, I plan to organize volunteer and fundraising events where we can work together to make a difference in the community and have the organization’s local representatives engage with all of our offices, in addition to sharing success stories and updates on the impact that our efforts have had on the community. These events will not only allow us to give back but also serve as a team-building activity. By providing a variety of opportunities for my colleagues to get involved, I believe we can maximize our impact.
I am honored to be leading this initiative at KCI and am committed to making a positive impact in the community. My passion for giving back, combined with the support of my colleagues, will allow us to support the United Way’s mission and make a difference in the lives of those in need. I am excited to see the impact that we can make together and look forward to KCI continuing to give back.
