The I-95 Express Toll Lanes (ETL) Extension project was recently recognized by the Maryland Quality Initiative (MdQI).
The I-95 ETL Extension won a Project of the Year award in the Projects over $5 Million category, formally presented to the team during the organization’s annual awards celebration held in Cockeysville, Maryland. To earn an award, projects must demonstrate exceptional design and construction practices while considering sustainability and environmental impact. Travis Root, CMIT, was present to accept the honor on behalf of the firm.
KCI provided construction engineering inspection (CEI) and construction management services for the extensive project which added 6.5 miles to existing express lanes, reinforcing the busy corridor for enhanced traffic flow. The completed extension features modern technology for enhanced tolling efficiency, as well as new signage, improved lighting, safety features, stormwater management infrastructure, and more entry and exit opportunities along the critical Maryland highway.
