February 23, 2024 | Announcements

KCI is pleased to welcome Tony Dawson as regional practice leader for the Wireless group.

In this role, he will leverage his expertise to continue expanding our depth of services throughout the country while upholding the firm’s reputation for successful project delivery and client relations.

With more than 25 years of experience in the wireless industry, Dawson will lead and develop KCI’s national telecommunications practice. His extensive resume of professional accomplishments includes tower design and manufacturing, site acquisition, zoning/permitting, engineering and construction management. Dawson’s expertise will complement KCI’s current wireless service offerings and increase our ability to respond to new opportunities in the communications industry.

Most recently, Dawson completed his tenure as Practice Builder for Kimley-Horn and Associates where he helped expand the Telecom Discipline nationally from 3 offices to 13 offices. Additionally, he served as a member of the National Telecom Standards Committee, oversaw national RFPs and MSA agreements, and was highly involved in all business development opportunities.

“With the addition of Tony to our team, the Wireless practice at KCI is well-positioned to further develop our relationships with telecommunications clients across the United States. We are excited to have him join us and look forward to his leadership at KCI.”

Nicholas Barrick, PE, LEED AP, Site/Civil Service Line Leader

Dawson has a mechanical engineering degree from Western Iowa Tech Community College and is an active member of multiple wireless telecommunication associations throughout the East Coast and Texas.
