Serving as the largest drinking water and sewage utility in Bexar County, the San Antonio Water System (SAWS) was looking to update its pipeline network.
KCI is redesigning several appurtenances to address needs that may arise during the waterline construction and with long-term operations and maintenance in mind. Multiple permits were required for this venture across a variety of agencies such as COSA, Bexar County, the Texas Department of Transportation, the Corps of Engineers, Union Pacific Railroad, and the San Antonio River Authority. As KCI has extensive experience in large diameter pipeline projects, our team’s recommendations during the pipeline specifications redraft is now being used for all segments of SAWS’s Water Resources Integration Program.
