KCI provided engineering services for the 1.5 MGD upgrade of an existing sub-surface dry well / wet well packaged pump station.
KCI performed hydraulic analysis, civil site, structural, mechanical, electrical and controls engineering services. The recommended improvements included replacement of the existing station with a wet well, three variable speed submersible pumps, odor control system, standby generator, harmonic filter, and explosive gas monitoring equipment.
The station upgrade included a new building for power distribution, system controls, and standby generator. Station alarms were transmitted over a peer to peer radio telemetry PLC controller system utilized to prioritize and coordinate regional pumping station operations to maximize conveyance system storage.
