KCI is the lead implementer of the Cityworks Asset Management System (AMS) implementation for various departments and organizations across the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County (Metro).

Our team is employing a multi-year phased approach to bring departments into the current version of Cityworks AMS using best practices and out-of-the-box configurations. KCI’s experts initially worked with Metro Information Technology Services staff to design a system architecture that allowed Metro to host the system onsite. Key elements of the architecture addressed needs for scalability and resiliency while delivering exceptional performance for the current and future user base. Our team then implemented AMS for the Nashville Department of Transportation and Multimodal Infrastructure with 300+ users across all business groups.

Our approach provided users with multiple review and feedback loops as the deployment went through testing, training, and go-live activities to help validate and refine the intended workflows. Additional tasks included the development of a comprehensive change management program to support the upcoming technology and process changes and integration coordination with hubNashville, Metro’s customer service system, for seamless syncing of customer services requests and updates between the systems. Implementations are underway for Metro Water Services Stormwater Division, Metro Water Services, and Nashville Parks & Recreation.
