KCI played a key role in the I-16 at I-95 interchange project, widening the I-16 corridor to improve traffic flow, increase safety, and boost operational efficiency for both passenger and freight vehicles.
As part of a joint venture, our team supported the construction of nine bridges from 2020 to 2025, delivering solutions for temporary structures, fall protection, girder bracing, shoring, demolition plans, beam erection, and formwork design. During project closeout, our team’s role was expanded to integrate into the contractor’s processes and develop repair procedures, manage RFIs, and oversee quality and compliance documentation, streamlining communications and expediting approvals with the Georgia Department of Transportation.
The team also handled high-priority design changes, resubmittals, substitutions, and engineered repairs, often working overtime to maintain the project’s critical path. By providing innovative solutions for construction challenges and adapting designs to available materials, KCI helped ensure on-time delivery and high-quality results.
