KCI delivered comprehensive site design services for Sheppard Pratt Health System’s new Elkridge Medical Campus in Howard County, Maryland.
The initial development included an 85-bed behavioral health hospital and a 70,000-square-foot medical office building, with the campus planned to accommodate future hospital expansion and additional medical office facilities.
Our team transformed the site from a planned business park into a thoughtfully designed medical campus, incorporating landscape and hardscape improvements, bioretention areas, and infrastructure designed to support the campus’s long-term growth. To achieve this goal, KCI provided a range of services, including civil engineering, landscape architecture, surveying, environmental services, development and permitting support, site layout and grading, stormwater management, utility coordination, and construction services.
Through an integrated approach to site design, environmental compliance, and landscape architecture, our team helped create a cohesive campus that supports the continued mission of providing behavioral healthcare to the region. The project also establishes a flexible framework for future expansion while creating a welcoming and functional environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
