Leonard Joins KCI to Expand Land Development in Maryland

KCI welcomes Jennifer C. Leonard, RLA, LEED AP, to the firm as an Associate Senior Project Manager in the Fulton, Maryland, office.

She is a senior leader with broad experience in all aspects of land development planning, engineering, land-use permits, entitlements and management. She comes to KCI with significant direct experience working with real estate developers, land-use attorneys, local agencies and industry trade groups, providing design of retail, institutional, residential, commercial, energy and industrial projects.

Leonard has more than two decades of experience in the design of commercial, retail, institutional, and residential redevelopment and greenfield projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region. Her expertise includes managing all phases of a project lifecycle from initial feasibility studies through construction, site analysis, planning and design, environmental remediation assessments, wetland delineations, permitting, and construction administration and documentation. She has led multi-disciplined teams of engineers, landscape architects and scientists through complex urban redevelopment and planning projects with a focus on sustainability.

Leonard earned her bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from West Virginia University. She is a registered landscape architect in Maryland and New York. She earned her Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. She maintains membership with both the Maryland and American Society of Landscape Architects, the U.S. Green Building Council, the Urban Land Institute, and the Maryland and National Home Builders Associations. Leonard has also served on the environmental committee for the Maryland National Capital Building Association.
